Flowers in Love use and recommend Sunshine Polishing Clothsä - they clean and polish both precious metals and Swarovski crystals without damage. The cloths last for ages, and only need to be discarded when they cloth is covered in tarnish. The cloths are non-staining and easy to use to remove tarnish from sterling silver, gold, and other precious materials; leaving a deep, long-lasting lustre.
To use: be sure the item is free from dust and other abrasives. Then very gently rub the surface to be polished. Each cloth is impregnated with special chemical cleaning agents and non-scratching micro-abrasives.

To keep your handcrafted jewellery clean and in good condition, gently wipe off residues and oils with a soft, 100% cotton lint-free cloth after each wearing. Apply perfumes, make-up, hairspray or other products prior to putting on jewellery to prevent damage to softer stones and dulling your crystals .
To help prevent sterling silver from tarnishing, your jewellery has been sent to you with a plastic zip-lock bag as well as a gift box. Simply placing your jewellery back in the bags and sealing them when not in use will help retard the tarnishing process. Store each piece individually to prevent tangling and scratching of your jewellery.
When your jewellery begins to tarnish or become heavily soiled you may soak your jewellery in warm water with a mild liquid soap for 2-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and allow your jewellery to dry completely on a lint-free cloth before re-storing it in the box your jewellery was presented in, or the zip-lock bag.
To remove excessive tarnish from sterling, I recommend a jeweller’s cloth such as the Sunshine Polishing Clothä (see below). This will safely bring your bring your jewellery back to full shine without scratching or dulling the crystals
Always remove your jewellery before using any product that contains bleach or chlorine. These chemicals can cause silver and other metals to break down as well as discolor and damage softer stones.
With a little care and the cleaning methods described above, your handmade jewellery will maintain its original beauty throughout the years.
